What is it?

A Vintage French "Étoile d'Amour" charm set with a little round ruby at the centre of the star. The piece is stamped with the maker's mark for "Charles Perroud" and crafted from 18ct yellow gold with a matte finish. These "médailles" were popular in the second half of the 20th century

This piece has a French eagle head mark for 18ct gold as well as a French maker's mark, which reads C P with are star and crescent moon for the maker Charles Perroud

Very good vintage condition. The setting has four claws where it once had six; the stone is secure
