About the piece
A beautiful pair of early 20th century French dormeuse earrings, each centred by an oval antique cut sapphire with a wonderfully vivid blue hue. Six rose cut diamonds surround each sapphire, creating a soft flower-like cluster, while a halo of tiny seed pearls is set directly into the circular gold design framing the central cluster.
The earrings have a lovely lace-like gallery, adding delicate detail to the rounded form and allowing light to flood the setting, creating a dance-like sparkle in the stones. The combination of the vibrant blue sapphires, antique rose cut diamonds and tiny pearls gives these earrings a wonderful mix of colour, sparkle, lustre and shine.
