An antique rose gold locket from 19th century France, this piece is decorative and bold. The ornate flower garland frames the oval locket shape beautifully and features subtle green gold details. Both the front and back surface of the locket have a fine engine-turned guilloché pattern which pull our eyes to the centre of the design. This piece has a French horse head mark used for 18ct gold and only found on antique pieces. It has been stamped three times; to the bail, to the jump ring and to the inner frame of the locket
Condition
Great antique condition with some indications of wear and age. Some surface wear to one of the imitation pearls. It is likely the case that the two cultured pearls are replacements. This locket does not have glass or inserts
