"Hers" Vintage Silver French Band Ring
About This Piece
This lovely vintage silver "Hers" band was found alongside another, labelled "His". The "His" and "Hers" 
set where likely originally always together as they both have the same French maker's mark for Lucien Ponce, of which the details can be found here, under L.P., on the Petit Cœur list of French Maker's Marks. Both bands have a very similar depth, width and feel with matching French Sanglier marks for silver as well as the maker's mark. The "Hers" neatly sits inside the "His"; it is hard not to imagine what their previous story could have been, their matching form and harmony between the two reminding us of the romantic notion of the never ending hoop.

    This piece has boar head or "sanglier" French mark for silver as well as a "losange" shaped French maker's and responsibility mark for Lucien Ponce. The mark has the initials L P with a bottle between. You can find this mark in the Petit Cœur list of French Maker's Marks here

    Excellent vintage condition with some indications of wear and age

What a joy to be in Paris and find the perfect gift for a 40th wedding anniversary. I had my heart set on an opal solitaire, preferably vintage design, and found exactly that.
